Can Anyone Change My Future?

Can Anyone Change My Future?

Just what does it take to break free from my past?

Can I overcome by really looking at last?

I rebel against God – I want my life’s control!

He may have some plot to do me harm on the whole.

Turning over a new leaf will not make it work.

It doesn’t change ME ‘though good works I never shirk.

Can I, by faith, be a person with a mission?

Can I overcome my old nature’s fruition?

If I admit what’s in me by nature – repent –

Then Heaven is mine – a NEW nature He has sent,

Since I have received Christ by faith actually,

What’s in me by His Grace goes back to Calvary.

About the Poet
I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was 11 - that was almost 70 years ago as of June 2015. My husband and I had been married for 54 years as of March 2010 before he went Home to Heaven, and we have one son & daughter in law and 3 grandchildren.
