The Very Cord of Families Is Being

The Very Cord Of Families Is Being Torn!

Across this country, many families

 are being torn apart!

It’s causing too many bleeding

 and hurting hearts!

The very cord of families seems

 to be quickly disappearing!

As many kinds of heartaches

and problems are appearing!

The way that God designed

 for the home to be..

Is becoming filled with sorrow,

 hatred and jealousy!

Adultery, hate, and cheating have

 invaded hearts…

And soon afterward, many homes

 are torn apart!

If only we could come to Jesus

 and seek his healing!

We’d realize the true love is more

 than a “feeling.”

“Commit your ways to God.”

“Your thoughts will be renewed!”

Allow the love of Christ to be the

 “bonding glue!”

His love can build the cord to keep

 your family together!

May we ask his word to strengthen

 our lives forever!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
