How Many People Have You Disowned?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

How Many People Have You “Disowned?”

The way you “disowned” me is

not Christ-like at all.

It’s almost like you wish

“I’ll stumble and fall.”

Like a dirty rag, you chose to

 “throw me away.”

You won’t even listen to what

 I want to say.

“I don’t want anything to do with you,”

 is what you said.

It’s almost like you want me to

“disappear and drop dead.”

If actions spoke louder than words,

 where would you be?

One day you’ll be judged on how

you treated me.

Be careful of those whom in life

you seek to “avoid.”

A life of victory in Christ, will never

 fully be enjoyed.

You can “sugarcoat” unforgiveness

all you want to.

But one day it’ll be God, not me, that

you’ll answer to.

Choose your decisions wisely and think

what you choose.

If you’re not careful, in the end,

it’ll be you that will lose!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
