When God Is Absent...

When God Is Absent…

When God is absent, mankind looks to fill the void.

They look for many pleasures to be enjoyed.

When God is absent, his truth is often discarded.

Then many of his holy principles are quickly departed.

When God is absent, his love is often neglected.

As his mercy and forgiveness is soon rejected.

When God is absent, ungodliness quickly abounds.

In many churches, his holiness is seldom found.

If God is absent in your life, what’ll you do about it?

He’s done so much for you!

Have you thought about it?

If God is absent, where will you go when you die?

How much longer will you listen to “the big lie?”

The big lie is that he’s not real, as many insist.

Will you go on living, as if he doesn’t exist???

The truth is that God is alive, and he’s real today!

Won’t you listen to the words of life he has to say?

“Whosoever will can come and receive his salvation!”

This can be the time for you to accept his invitation!

God is here!  He doesn’t need to be absent any longer!

With him as your God, your faith will be stronger!

Receive him!  Enjoy a life that’s everlasting!

The God of all creation can be yours….

 For the asking!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
