Jesus...Or The Stars?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Jesus...Or the Stars?

I knew someone who studied
 the stars and astrology.
This was her "true religion and theology."

She didn't want to hear about Jesus' love.
Anything from the Bible... She "gave it a shove."

Then... in almost a moment in time.
One particular day, "God showed her a sign."

As she was driving home from work this day.
There appeared a cross...right in her way!

This cross spoke to her heart of love's true meaning.
Christ' death on the cross became more revealing.

"For God so loved the world...
he sent his only son..."
A sacrifice for our sins he'd become.

She knelt down on her knees and deeply cried.
Confessing:  "it was for me, that Jesus died."

All of the stars and "signs" in the sky overhead,
Couldn't explain away why Jesus' blood was shed.

She "threw out" all her theology
one blissful  night.
Inside of her began a "fire" that started to ignite.

She accepted Christ into her heart that day.
Knowing that he is the truth, the life... the only way!

She accepted his gift of salvation within.
And is now a NEW person-being born again!

She has a hope, and the best news to share.
The God loves her and he cares!

This message of hope & eternal
 life can be yours too!
Jesus is waiting here now-the rest is up to you!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
