Blessed Are the Fishermen

Blessed Are The Fishermen!

Blessed are the those who

go fishing. .

Blessings from the sea ,

they don't want to ne missing!

Blessed are they who

fish on the lake...

They're bright and early,

never too late!

Blessed are the meek fishermen! .

They shall search the earth.

They 've been fishing since

about the time of birth!"

Blessed are they who hunger for

salmon! They shall be filled.

A desire to smoke it

has been instilled!

Blessed are the merciful. You know them

by name!

Be careful that you don't fish,

in their "domain!"

Blessed are they with a pure heart !

They shall catch many! .

Can you find one of them?

Are there any?

Blessed are those who are persecuted

in the animal kingdom.

They share their testimony for fishing

to those who receive them!

Blessed are you when others don't

believe your fish stories

and accuse you falsely.

Go home and sprinkle on your fish,

some butter and parsely!

Rejoice that many fish shall one day

be your reward!

So YOU can cook them for dinner,

and be "their lord!

Blessed are we who serve fish!

The "battle" has been won!

We can eat now!

Dinner is done!!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
