The Cross of Christ Is What I'll Sh

The Cross Of Christ Is What I’ll Share!

God told me to daily pick up my cross.

However, I didn’t realize what the cost

He told me to pick up the cross and bear it.

But his message, I didn’t want to share it!

If I were to bear the cross, others may see it!

There are those who wouldn’t believe it!

There are those who still mock Jesus’ name.

And many who’d likely give me the blame.

It was on the cross, my savior bled and died.

Through his blood, I can be sanctified!

It was on the cross, Christ gave his

 life for mine.

He provided a way of salvation

 for all mankind!

It was because of the cross, I can be FREE!

And be with Jesus throughout eternity!

This cross that Christ wants me to bear.

Is a testimony of faith I’m willing to share!

I’ll gladly share with others, of God’s joy!

His message of hope is what I’ll enjoy!

The cross before me!  The world behind me!

Wherever I go, Christ is always with me!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
