Spending Quality Family Is More Pre
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Quality Family Time Is More Precious Than Gold!

A son wanted some quality time with his father.

But his father said, “I’m too busy.”  “Don’t bother.”

The son felt like he was waiting,

 but it wasn’t his turn.

His father was too busy, but wasn’t concerned.

The son’s parents divorced, and the years rolled on.

Around his father’s wife, he felt like

 he didn’t belong.

His father talked a religious talk that didn’t matter.

Did he love his son?  Or was it a lot of chatter?

There’s many families that end in a divorce.

It’s easy for the individuals to stray off course.

It’s easy to get busy, and neglect

the important things.

We need to spend quality time

 with what family brings!

We only have each other for a brief

moment in time!

What’s important in your life?

What comes to mind?

Let’s come as a family and seek the Lord as one!

Let’s seek Jesus’ love for every daughter and son.

Let’s come together in prayer to Jesus the King!

Let’s give him our heartaches and everything!

Jesus’ love needs to be the glue

that binds us together!

Let’s make him our priority,

in our family forever!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
