I Met This Family. What a Joyful

I Met This family…  What A Joyful Experience!

I met this family.  What a joyful experience!

They displayed Christ’ love by their

 gracious appearance!

At first, I couldn’t hardly believe what I was seeing!

The love and joy of Christ I was now receiving!

They didn’t have much in the way of entertainment.

They had God’s peace and a

 joyous contentment!

They were happy about God and also excited.

They talked about the good things in life.

And were delighted!

The simple things in their family did abound!

A peace and warmth in their home,

I certainly found!

A love for God in this home I was able to see!

What’s good for them...

 Is also good for me!

A respect for the parents was clear and evident.

I knew the Holy Spirit

is their “chief resident!”

I’m thankful to God for the blessing they’ve been.

I’m glad that I know them and to call them friend!

May we all be encouraged in our families too!

May we not forget to say; “I LOVE YOU!”

May the love of Christ keep us all together!

May we seek his will today and forever!

Thank you lord for your goodness and grace!

We welcome you into

our dwelling place!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
