Serving God or Baal???

Serving God Or Baal???

The Bible speaks of Elijah who

challenged the prophets of Baal.

To see who’s God was true.

And who’s God would fail!

The prophets of Baal cried

out to their God in vain.

But when Elijah cried to his God...

Then the fire came!

The people of Israel were astonished

 by what they saw!

Fire from heaven…  Consuming the

 sacrifice, water and all!

Child of God…  There’s a message that

God wants you to know…

Which God are you serving?  A false one?

Or the one who loves you so?

Baal (this world), or Jesus…

The choice must be made!

There’s no middle road.  It’s Jesus…

 Or being sin’s slave!

Won’t you allow the fire from

heaven to consume your sin?

Renew your commitment to Jesus…

 And not sinful men!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
