If You Ask Why I Love Jesus...

If You Ask Why I Love Jesus…

If you ask why I love Jesus…  I’ll gladly tell you!

I’ll be happy to do it…  Because I want to!

It’ll be an honor to share of the love he’s given.

And the joys of knowing that I’m forgiven!

I’ll be a privilege to share of the time I’ve spent.

And the peace I have, after I chose to repent.

It’ll be a day in which I can reflect on.

And share of this friend that I can depend on!

It’ll be a time of an abundance that I received.

That moment I turned to Jesus and believed!

I won’t be spending much time on the past.

But to share a freedom in Christ that lasts!

I won’t be filled with worry and despair.

But to tell of a lord who loves me and cares!

I‘d like to invite you to know Jesus too!

Receive the assurance of how much he loves you!

I‘d like to invite you to a heavenly invitation...

And accept God’s wonderful mercy and salvation!

I’d like to take this time with purpose and meaning.

It’s on the arms of Jesus that we need to be leaning!

Please come Lord Jesus and touch us within…

That we all would know you!  As savior and friend!

Fellowship with Jesus brings a new life divine!

I love him!  And glad that he’s a friend of mine!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
