Is My Life a Failure???

Is My Life A Failure???

Lately my life has been getting very stressful…

It seems like everything I try is unsuccessful.

It just seems like no matter how hard I try…

I fail again….  And get upset and cry!

No matter what I do or how hard I pray…

I wake up and dread being here the next day!

I know of so many who seem like they’re “blessed!”

But me?  My life is just one big huge MESS!

I sometimes feel like a “blob” that fell to the ground.

When I need someone...  There’s no one to be found!

I feel worn out, discouraged and “defeated.”

Any sense of self-worth has been “depleted.”

Someone just told me of a God who truly cares…

If I need some help…  He’s always there!

All of my disappoints and failures to Jesus I’ve given!

His love has totally changed how I am now livin’!

He’s brought to my life a hope that I never had before!

He’s brought to me love, peace, and so much more!

He’s taken away all of my pain and sorrow…

And has promised to be there for me…  Tomorrow~

He’s taken the word “failure” from a life that’s broken!

His powerful words of hope have clearly been spoken!

So now…  No matter what tomorrow may bring…

I know that Jesus is my righteousness!  My everything!

I find comfort in his arms so loving and strong!

He’s welcomed me and told me that I BELONG!

In Christ Jesus…  I’ve found the

 meaning of SUCCESS!

Now my life is no failure…

 But is abundantly blessed!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
