God's Judgment Is Coming to Church!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Judgment Is Coming To Church!

There’s a danger in many churches today!

Many know little of what the Bible has to say!

Many choose scripture that “comforts” their soul.

But anything bringing conviction, “has to go!”

Many want to talk about how loving God is!

And want to keep living their life, “as is!”

Many reject God’s commands for holy living.

And don’t care if a holy life to God, is worth giving!

In many churches, the world has totally crept in.

And removed any kind of conviction of sin!

Effective prayer time is replaced by “social events.”

Seldom is there any conviction

 to truly repent.

Just keeping the numbers seem

 to be the new “game.”

As churches allow their services

 to bring God shame.

How pitiful the spirit of many churches must be!

While so many are in bondage

 and not SET FREE!

It’s time to wake up church,

 from an ungodly direction!

And focus on giving Jesus our love and attention!

Let’s come before him, in humbleness and confession!

And make holy living for Jesus

our daily obsession!

Let’s come together in repentance in one accord!

And bring glory and honor

 to Jesus Christ, our Lord!

Let’s remember when we’re in church,

why we came!

And live a life that brings honor

to Jesus’ name!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
