How Much Longer Will Our Country
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 2 times

How Much Longer Will Our Country Last?

As I see more ungodly laws being passed…

I wonder; “how much longer will our country last?”

As many believe that God is no longer needed…

A tide of wickedness has relentlessly proceeded!

Many kind of ungodly acts on t.v. are displayed..

As the colors of the rainbow are often portrayed!

A tremendous tide of filth and sin greatly abounds!

Where are the righteous?

 Where can they be found?

It’s time to think of where our freedom came from!

The blessings of God, we certainly received them!

Our country’s taking the wrong direction!

It’s almost like we have a deep ungodly infection!

It’s time America, to return to the God of the Bible!

And refuse to worship and entertain false idols!

On our coins, “in God we trust.’ Is what it reads….

But deep inside, our country “spiritually bleeds!”

Out only hope is in Christ!  And him alone!

We need his principles of truth in our homes!

He is and will always be the one who’s provided!

Without him….  A path to destruction is decided!

If there was ever a time…  We need God this hour!

We can’t make it under our own strength and power!

Please come Lord Jesus!

And touch us by your hand!

May there be a true repentance

 throughout this land!

It’s only though Christ, that our country

 can have freedom within!

As we come to God and ask him

to take away our sin!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
