The Ocean So Grand

sand beneath our feet,
cackling seagulls explore,
nimble sandpipers tip-toe,
as waves crash on the shore.

Water shimmering in the sun,
strolling hand in hand,
we can't help but think
God's ocean is so grand.

Peace fills our spirits,
fresh air our lungs inhale,
hair blowing in the breeze,
boats out yonder for a sail.

One's eyes can feast upon
miles of beach pristine;
in God's presence we bask
so soothing and serene.

Even if the fog rolls in
or in a thundershower,
the ocean is a sight to see
to sense God's awesome power!

God's magnificent masterpiece
takes our breath away...
the perfect place to walk,
contemplate and pray!

Gen. 1:6-8 "And God said, let the vapors separate to form the sky above and the oceans below.  So God made the sky, dividing the vapor above from the water below."

My husband and I are blessed to live on the east coast near the ocean, and frequently go to enjoy it!  We love strolling together along the shore or on the boardwalk, and no matter how often we visit, we're always in awe of God's spectacular creation!
