Messiah

Messiah

Who opens prison doors
and sets the captives free,
removes the scales from eyes
that are blind and cannot see.

Who makes the lame to walk
and the deaf to hear,
can cause a calloused man
to shed a humble tear?

The one born to a virgin
our Messiah and King
who was crucified and died
yet not guilty of a thing.

For sinners gave His life
twas the perfect sacrifice,
and now we are redeemed
because Jesus paid the price.

Alleluia, our Lord reigns
now and forevermore,
and those who follow Him
shall enter heaven's door....

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
