Housebound

Housebound

Suffering from cabin fever?
there are many things to do
when you're housebound,
but the choice is up to you!

Grumbling and complaining
isn't pleasing to the Lord;
let us be good witnesses
trusting God in accord.

Enjoy family time together,
play games, do some talking,
if you play an instrument
gather round and sing!

Keep in touch with others
thru today's technology;
it's easy to contact friends
and extended family.

Take a stroll around the block
and try to exercixe daily;
tell stories, look at photos,
or share some memories.

Nature puts on a show
everywhere you glance,
look around and behold
creation's not by chance!

Be sure to read your bible,
set time aside to pray,
thank God for His protection
when you start the day!

Maybe try new recipes
don't just watch TV...
home is a have of rest
not a penitentiary!!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
