Banished

Banished

Life without Christ is void and bare,
empty, hopeless and filled with despair...
blinded by satan to think all is well,

and oblivious of eternal hell.

Outwardly playing a convincing role
inwardly just a wandering soul...
striving to find an identity,
a purpose for life's complexity.

One day sadly having to face
a tragic end in a terrible place...
banished from our Father above,
who offered them a gift of love.

Rejecting Jesus who paid the price
with His bloodshed sacrifice...
but the heartbreaking end will be,
they chose their final destiny!

John 3:15&16

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
