Jesus, the One Who Died for Me

Jesus, The One Who Died For Me

How powerful is He, the one who died for me.
righteous, mighty and infallible...
sits at the right hand of the Father...
He is fair, just, and perfect in His ways,
the beloved Son of God who abides in me!

How glorious is He, the one who died for me.
His fragrance is sweeter than honey!
His wisdom transcends the brightest minds.
Beautiful is the Lord, merciful is He,

the spotless Lamb of God who saved me!

How compassionate is He, the one who died for me.
He shoulders my burdens, forgave my sins,
beckons all who are heavy laden
to draw close and rest from their labor,
the lovely Rose of Sharon who comforts me!

How understanding is He, the one who died for me.
His ways surpass human knowledge,
He can relate to my circumstances,
suffered an agonizing death on the cross,
the wonderful Prince of Peace who identifies with me!

How loving is He, the one who died for me.
He knows my faults and loves me still.
Sees my shortcomings and despite them
encourages me to press on,
the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who sustains me!

A Blessed "Resurrecton Day" to everyone on Wordchimes....

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
