At the Cross

If your heart is burdened
and heavy from the strain,
bring your problems to the cross
and there let them remain.

Once you've done that
don't retrieve them every day,
go on with assurance
that help is on the way!

Leave your burdens at the cross
let the Lord have them all;
your overwhelming troubles
to Him are only small.

You'll soon sense relief
from the weary load
when you let Jesus carry
your burdens down the road!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
