Your Pillar

My shoulders will carry the burdens you bear,
My yoke is easy, do not despair...
why have you chosen to worry and whine
when I told you to cling to the Vine?
I am your pillar, lean only on Me,
run not to men for sympathy...
I've desposited My Spirit in you,
submit to the work I'm trying to do.
all carnal efforts to figure Me out
will always result in confusion and doubt.
depend on Me daily or you will find
constant struggle and no peace of mind.
when you stop resisting Me
you shall walk in victory! (c)

Matthew 11:28-30

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
