Jesus Hit a Nerve

He demonstrated God's love,
was compassionate and tender...
He reached out with mercy
and was willing to surrender.

His miracles are recorded,
they are not exaggerated...
despite His wondrous deeds,
He was generally hated.

Historically He was recognized
and respected as a teacher...
He drew massive crowds and
considered a good preacher.

He came to expose sin
thus spawning indignation,
because He hit a nerve
professing God's salvation!

Men don't usually hate
those who love them,
but they loved their sin more
and turned against Him.

That brings us to the present,
there's nothing new to say...
men still reject Jesus
and quickly turn away.

John 3:19&20  "Their judgment is based on this fact:  The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.  They hate the light becasue they want to sin in the darkness.  They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished."
