Message in Red

Message in Red

If God should write a message
in RED across the sky
warning men to repent
to be seen by every eye,
would anybody notice
and turn to God today?
or continue in their sin
and simply walk away.

Once before God wrote
a message out in RED,
with the precious lifeblood
that our Savior Jesus shed!
but it was on a wooden cross
high on Calvary's hill,
many heed the message,
but myriad never will!
so even if a message should
appear across the sky,
men with hardened hearts
today would probably walk by!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
