Safe or Sorry

Safe or Sorry

Racing down the super highway
may be a thrilling ride,
following the crowd,
taking life in stride,
comfortable and easy
with exciting bends,
but oblivious as to where
the super highway ends!
Many use the fast lane
but are failing to observe
the ROAD IS OUT sign
around the last curve.

Now, parallel to that is
the old faithful parkway,
where very few travelers
care to venture today...
it's narrow and bumpy,
a pothole laden place,
and the journey is harder
at a steady, slow pace.
The big difference being
there is a safe end,
on the old faithful road
around the last bend.

The BROAD or NARROW path, Jesus left the choice to us!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
