Chasers

Chasers

Some chase after rainbows
and their pot of gold,
some chase after yesteryear
and the days of old.

Some chase after fame,
and the attention it brings,
some chase after fortune
just to accumulate things.

Some chase after alcohol
to escape their inner pain,
some chase after power
and the glory they'll attain.

The wise chase after Jesus
the redeemer of mankind,
who came to give sight
to the spiritually blind.

Jesus fills the void
inside of every man
that chasing after dreams
in a lifetime never can!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
