God's Planet Earth

God commands the sun to set
in the western sky,
and as it bids farewell
nightfall waits close by.
I can't recall a time
when the sun didn't set,
or the night didn't fall,
not once did they forget!
By God's perfect timing
life's cycles smoothly run;
the process will continue
until life on earth is done.
God preserves the earth
His wonderful creation,
while men legislate laws
and make many allegations.
God is in control and
on Him we can depend
to sustain His planet earth
until the very end! (c)

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
