Props

When you were a baby
someone held your hand,
and had to prop you up
because you couldn't stand.

They changed your diapers
and taught you to talk,

bathed and fed you
and encouraged you to walk.

When you grew older
your loved ones where there,
although you didn't need
all that personal care.

When you were saved,
the Lord pampered you,
and just like a baby
you required Him to!

Spiritual maturity means
God pulls the props away
expecting you to stand
and walk by faith each day!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
