Indelibly Etched

Indelibly Etched

Help me walk away victoriously
from the fiery furnace ordeals...
let not the flames singe my garments;
May the glory of the Lord be evident
as I emerge triumphantly unscathed.

Help me keep a confident attitude,
let my grateful heart's expression
burst forth in joyous melody,
worshiping my Lord and Savior
with hymns of praise and glory!

If I cannot pass thru this life
and leave a godly legacy behind,
then I've missed the calling
of becoming a submitted vessel,
one that has been refined!

Although life is so fleeting,
I can use the time productively
to impress upon the hearts of others,
the lifechanging truths God has
indelibly etched within me.

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
