Under God's Umbrella

Under God's Umbrella

He watches every move I make,
and supplies each breath I take,
sees me when I try to hide,
not for a second leaves my side.

Wipes away all my tears
welcomes me when I draw near.
Comforts me when my heart aches,
heals the wounds, mends the breaks.

Bridged the gap, paid the price
for me Christ made the sacrifice.
Under God's umbrella I'll stay
until He calls me home one day.

Forever in heaven I shall be
surrounded by God's majesty...
departed brethren I will greet,
strolling down the golden street.

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
