Inner Vacuum

Inner Vacuum

The gnawing sensation within
escapes no man of clay...
it's the yearning for God
who created him that way.

It is an ever present void
that only God can fill,
it persists inside a man
until he knows God's will.

Instead an empty heart
resorts in desperation
to satisfy its emptiness
with other fascinations!

He tries to fill the vacuum
to ease his inner fear...
without fellowship with God
his pain won't disappear!

God designed every man
for His own companionship,
and nothing can compare
to that intimate relationship.

There is hope for man
who does have a choice...
open up God's word
and listen to His voice!

God's presence fills the void
as nothing else can...
there is all to gain
foolish, mortal man!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
