Two Stories

We know the tale of Santa Claus
how across the sky he soars

with his reindeer in the night
led by Rudolph's nose so bright,

bringing gifts on his sleigh
to all the children Christmas Day...

Another story everyone knows
about a babe in swaddling clothes
born in Bethlehem by God's decree
to redeem and set souls free!

To demonstrate His perfect love
God sent Jesus from above,
a gift worth much more than gold
came to save both young and old.
He dwells with us all year through
something Santa Claus can't do.
Rejoice ye children, shout Amen
if you have been born again...
how blessed we are here on earth
to celebrate our Savior's birth!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
