Nature's Drama

NATURE'S DRAMA

Hop away baby bunny

then come back to eat,

twitching your little nose

while savoring a treat!

Munching on the grass,

free to play and hide,

running thru the shrubs

in God's big world outside!

After a heavy downpour

the lawn is lush and green,

God's wondrous spectacle

a calm and soothing scene.

A chubby groundhog stares

and I stare back too,

as he clumsily runs away

and disappears from view.

It's humid after the rain

but refreshing for my lawn,

and just beyond my property

there's a doe and her fawn.

They're nibbling on forsythia

in my neighbor's yard,

aware of their surroundings

and seldom caught off guard!

How precious are these moments

when happily I behold

nature's awesome drama

before my eyes unfold!

About the Poet
Christian since 1973, widowed in 2007, but by the divine appt. of God, I married a wonderful, godly widower in Oct. 2010. Three grown, married sons and eight grandchildren. My first love is Jesus who inspires my pen, for apart from Him I can do nothing! I desire to honor the Lord and edify readers thru poetry He inspires.
