The Slumber Party
Every year about the 20th of December, I receive an invitation by air. When the weather turns chilly, And the sun sets early, The letter is sure to be there. The contents are simple, And easy to read, They say, "Come, take a rest for awhile, Snuggle in bed, so cozy and warm, Though the winds may blow frigid and wild." The party continues "till March 21, When the forsythia's come out to play, The snow begins melting and days become longer, And I find strength to begin the new day. |

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
