The Apple of His Eye

The Apple of His Eye

I'm the apple of His eye,

The object of His care.

No matter how I feel,

His truth says He is there.

There to lead and guide me,

With His ever watchful eye.

As the keeper of the vineyard,

As the Father of the skies.

Some days He sends the rain,

Other times the gentle dew.

The sun shines forth when prompted,

And then hides from out of view.

In wilderness or plenty,

Through good times and the bad,

Our Father Adoniah protects us,

And brings us home at last.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
