His Student

Help me to remember that You are always teaching me,

Lessons in faith, some new, some over and over repeatedly.

I am a disciple and a disciple must be taught,

To do the right, the best, the holy,

And not to do as the old man ought.

Avoiding predictions that cause me to stray,

Trusting You early in the hour, every minute, night and day.

And as the hymnist sings of Your ways,

Let me kneel before You, lost in wonder, love and praise.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
