A Hint of Mint

A Hint of Mint

In a shady corner, tucked next to the white fir trees,

I visit summer mornings,

And take just what I please.

Each fragrant leaf reminds me, as I sip my ginger tea,

That my mother's love lives on,

In the life inside of me.

As I pick a sprig or two of mint,

I can clearly hear her say,

"Good morning, dear, I love you still,

And will throughout the day."

* I have my mother's plants since she passed away and they minister greatly to me. Thank you, Lord.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
