Psalm 1

Plant me as a tree by Your waters of life,

Let my roots grow wide and deep,

In the dark of night.

Wrap them around God's holy truth,

And keep my heart from hidden ruse.

Up above my fruit freely grow,

And leaves stay vibrant for they know,

That a tree that's planted near the source,

Will grow and prosper in its course.

No drought, nor heat will harm this tree,

For it lives and grows and thrives in Thee.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
