Like willows by the watercourse,

Those chosen will spring up.

"I am the Lord's," says one,

Others will take the name of Jacob.

Because we were made by Him,

And known within the womb,

Blessings are poured upon us,

No more fear, despair or gloom.

The Lord's will be our anthemn,

His servants we will be.

Let's raise our voice in triumph,

Though servants, we are free,

Though servants, now we're free!

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
