New Life

Worship the Lord, give thanks to His name.
Whether in triumph or struggling with pain.
Recall  the butterfly squeezing through his home,
He slowly emerges, not with ease but a groan.
No longer bound by earthly ways,
He flits and flutters above the haze.
He's new, with new purpose,
Assigned to different chores.
Remember, we are the butterflies,
Our former lives are gone.
Let's praise Him for this mighty work,
Wrought in each blood bought soul.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
