Thank you for the seed sown in my tender, young heart.

Thank you for the promise, " I will never leave or depart."

Praise to You, the Heavenly Gardener,

Who so carefully watches over my soul,

Guarding me from the rocks of offense,

Keeping the soil of my heart whole.

Sending the light of Your Word,

As the daily sun.

Even clouds of dark trouble, yes,

They also must come!

Both are needed, both guided by love,

Accept the fruit from Your labor,

Fruit born from above.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
