Salvation

God sought me like a lover,

One August years ago.

My up was down and high was low,

Although I didn't know.

He lured me from my wilderness,

Spoke tenderly to me.

Other voices were calling too,

But His voice, the only key.

My heart was closed, but He kept tapping,

 Tapping patiently.

On August 12th, the door sprung wide,

My Holy Guest walked in.

He's never left all through the years,

He still abides within!

*I've been a Christian 40 years this August 12th. Praise God, praise God, praise God. Thank you for all your blessings, faithfulness and loving care through the years.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
