The Greater Work
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The Greater Work

Among the thorns of life can grow,
A work beyond our fears.
When hope is lost, defeat is sure,
The greater work appears.
Lazarus lay dying,
His sisters filled with dread.
But Jesus didn't heal His friend,
He came when tears were shed.
He said,"Come forth!"
And he arose.
From the darkened cave to light,
With awestruck hope their faith,
Had changed from blindness,
To full sight.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
