A Violet

A Violet

I came upon a violet beside a maple tree,

So small, inconsequential,

But happy just to be.

Its joy was not in height nor breadth,

Not in shade or bough.

The joy came from the knowledge that,

It was made by God.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
