House Wrens
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

House Wrens

A little wren appeared again,

It was the first of May.

Though very small in stature,

He had so much to say.

His lovely song of jubilance,

Was sung from branch and twig.

His presence, not alarming,

But his song was oh so big.

"Come, check this home I have for you."

He sings unto his mate.

"Let's look inside and make it ours,

The hour is getting late."

He and she are happy now,

The mother quietly sitting.

While father sings just as before,

His song, with no remitting.

*We were fortunate to have house wrens in a little bird house right next to our deck. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. This year we have chickadees in the same house. :)

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
