Like Clockwork

Like Clockwork

Our world suspends over nothing,

How is it held in place?

And yet I never give it a thought,

Though we are spinning throughout space.

Do I worry whether the sun or moon will set and rise each day?

Or whether crocus buds will show,

When the snow is cleared away?

I rest secure in all these acts,

Without the slightest fear.

My hope and prayer is that I might,

Begin to trust Him more.

If I can leave the big to Him,

Then I can leave the small.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
