Getting Ready

Oh, I love how the colors speak out loud,

The sun peeking over the tree tops,

Winking behind the dark, moving clouds.

Streams of vapor lifting up from water in the early dawn.

Bid me raise my heart in prayer,

For the beaten and forlorn.

All around prepares for slumber,

As a blanket of leaves tucks in the earth.

I will rest in holy wonder as all of nature dreams of mirtth.

* Both exist together - the blessed and the oppressed. But nature's seasons show us that God

is always in control, the uncontested Sovereign.

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
