My Savior

My Savior

Looking upon the open sea,

What waves and billows threaten me.

All I can see is death and pain,

Although my lips can dare refrain,

From thoughts of drowning beneath the surge.

Yet within my heart begins to form,

The faintest hope that 's there to storm,

And still the fears with beams of light,

Which emanate from the holy sight of,

Jesus calling in the night.

For in His arms is safety sure,

The healing touch for all befores,

And afterwards are evermore,

Lost in peaceful, wondrous awe.

* The Lord knows the way of the righteous...Psalm 1

About the Poet
I've been a Christian for over 40 years and am continually thankful for Jesus' friendship and care. I'm married and have three grown children. I also have two grandsons and three granddaughters. Praise God! My prayer is that God would use these simple poems to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
