A Christmas Eve Tree

A Christmas Eve Tree

Flurried, gleaming - flocked in white,

a pine tree shines in pale moonlight

decorated in fallen snow,

lambent as a lamp would glow -

reflecting here, Heaven Divine;

a hallowed peace on earth does shine...

then at a distance, from afar -

atop the tree shines one bright Star...
