Wings of Spring

Wings of Spring

(a kyrielle)

With fledgling wings, the gentle Spring
comes forth in warm awakening
encompassing this earth I know -
the faithful robin tells me so.

In strength of Way and breeze assured,
the season's flight proclaims His Word;
it's been this way since long ago...
the faithful robin tells me so.

As blooms arise in fragrant song,
the ancient melody plays strong-
and Spring soars o're the earth aglow...
the faithful robin tells me so.

(We have had a very mild winter here and the warmer days have me thinking of Spring.) :)

(The kyrielle is a french form of 3 stanzas, usually written in tetrameter, with an
 a a b B,    c c b B,   d d b B    rhyme scheme...(caps represent the repeating line).
