Change of Seasons

Change of Seasons

As sunlight ribbons through the painted trees,
wind animates the branches.  On the ground,
bough patterns play with melancholy ease
and only wind I hear, and rustling sound
of leaves performing, dancing in the air-
an early Autumn spectacle.  I see
Fall's color palette whirling here and there-
confetti celebration that decrees
the way of life.  The coming of each season
begins to yield to a brilliant plan,
created by our loving God with reason
ordained in nature and eternal man.
To that, eternal love of Christ attests;
of such renewal, we are truly blessed...

(a Shakespearean sonnet)
